A-B-C Verses

While I’m on a roll, I’ll list the A-B-C verses I use to teach the kids their verses each week. It’s amazing to me how God brings these up in sermons on Sundays so often! The kids have been getting excited about hearing them unexpectedly. Last Sunday, Pastor used “Casting all your care…” & all the kids in the sanctuary popped up & looked around excitedly. It’s fun to see them listening as well as remembering what they’re being taught.

I really like to use things like the A-B-Cs as a hook for the kids to learn their verses because it gives you something as a family to use when you’re driving along with time on your hands or in a restaurant waiting, etc. Just call out a letter & see who can remember it. Or start at the beginning & see how far you can go as a family. In keeping with the Shemah,

Deut. 6:4-9, “Repeat them again & again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home & when when you are away on a journey, when you are lying down and when you are getting up again.”
